Performance for Office Work and Multitasking

The quad-core Core i5-8350U handles everyday business work smoothly: Microsoft Excel and Word, QuickBooks, Sage, Google Workspace, Zoom and Teams calls, and many Chrome tabs at once. The NVMe SSD boots Windows 11 Pro in seconds and opens large spreadsheets quickly. The i5-8350U also supports Intel vPro for remote IT management, useful for company fleets.

Display

The 14-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen lets you tap, scroll and zoom through documents and web pages, sign PDFs with your finger and use Windows touch gestures, while the anti-glare finish keeps it readable in a bright office.

Ports, Upgrades and Build

The T480s keeps the ports a business user needs, so you rarely carry adapters: HDMI for projectors, Gigabit Ethernet for office networks, an SD card reader, two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports, one of them Thunderbolt 3 for docks and fast external drives. RAM can be upgraded through the free SO-DIMM slot, and the M.2 SSD can be swapped for a larger drive. The carbon-fibre-reinforced lid and magnesium base pass Lenovo's military-grade durability tests, and the spill-resistant backlit keyboard is one of the best laptop keyboards available.

Why the Lenovo ThinkPad T480s Touch Price in Kenya Is Good Value

A new 14-inch business laptop with similar build quality costs several times more. At the current Lenovo ThinkPad T480s touch price in Kenya of KSh 33,500, you get a premium ThinkPad with a fingerprint reader, Thunderbolt 3, an NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Pro, tested and backed by a 6-month warranty.

Who Should Buy the Lenovo ThinkPad T480s?

  • Accountants, auditors and finance teams in Nairobi working in Excel, QuickBooks and Sage
  • University students in Kenya who need a light, reliable laptop
  • SMEs and NGOs equipping staff on a budget
  • Consultants and sales teams who travel and present often
  • Remote workers who spend the day on Zoom, Teams and Google Workspace

Good to Know Before You Buy

  • Integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics are fine for office work and video but not for modern games or heavy 3D work.
  • The 57Wh battery is integrated (not hot-swappable). As a refurbished unit, its runtime depends on the battery's health, which we show you before purchase.
  • The touchscreen adds a little weight and gloss compared with the non-touch model.
  • There is no Wi-Fi 6; it uses Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), which works well with home and office routers.

Tested Before Sale

Every refurbished laptop is inspected and tested before it goes on sale. We check:

  • Screen for dead pixels, lines and backlight bleed
  • Every key, the TrackPoint and the touchpad
  • All USB, USB-C, HDMI and Ethernet ports, and the SD card reader
  • Battery health and charging
  • SSD health and RAM
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, webcam, speakers and microphone
  • A clean Windows 11 Pro installation with up-to-date drivers

You are welcome to test the laptop yourself in our shop before you pay.

ThinkPad T480s or T490s: which should I buy?

The T480s has more ports, including Ethernet and a full-size HDMI, and its RAM can be upgraded. The T490s is slightly thinner and lighter with a newer design, but its RAM is soldered. For upgradeability and ports, choose the T480s.
