Performance for Everyday Office Work

The 6th Gen Core i5 with 8GB of RAM and an SSD comfortably runs Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Google Docs, email, Zoom and Teams, and web browsing with several tabs open. The SSD makes boot-up and app launches much faster than older hard-drive laptops. It is a reliable everyday machine for typing, research, data entry and online classes.

Display and Keyboard

The 14-inch Full HD IPS screen is sharp, with good viewing angles for sharing your screen with a colleague. The ThinkPad keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, and the red TrackPoint lets you move the cursor without lifting your hands from the keys.

Ports, Upgrades and Build

You get three full-size USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort for projectors and monitors, Gigabit Ethernet and an SD card reader, so you rarely need adapters. RAM can be increased through the SO-DIMM slot and the M.2 SSD can be replaced with a larger one. The carbon-fibre-reinforced lid and magnesium base make it light but tough, and it weighs only about 1.36kg.

Why the Lenovo ThinkPad T460s Price in Kenya Is Good Value

At the current Lenovo ThinkPad T460s price in Kenya of KSh 26,499, you get a genuine ThinkPad with business-grade build quality, a Full HD IPS screen, an SSD and Windows 11 Pro for the price of a basic consumer laptop. It is tested and covered by a 6-month warranty.

Who Should Buy the Lenovo ThinkPad T460s?

  • Students in Nairobi and across Kenya who need an affordable, durable laptop for assignments and online classes
  • Office staff, cyber cafés and SMEs equipping workers on a tight budget
  • Writers, data-entry clerks and administrators who type all day
  • Anyone moving up from an old hard-drive laptop to a fast SSD machine

Good to Know Before You Buy

  • The 6th Gen Intel Core i5 is not on Microsoft's official Windows 11 processor list. Windows 11 Pro runs well, but future major Windows feature updates may need manual installation.
  • Integrated Intel HD 520 graphics are fine for office work and video, not for gaming or 3D design.
  • It has no USB-C port; it charges with Lenovo's rectangular slim-tip adapter.
  • This is a non-touch screen. Battery runtime depends on the health of this refurbished unit's batteries, which we show you before purchase.

Tested Before Sale

Every refurbished laptop is inspected and tested before it goes on sale. We check:

  • Screen for dead pixels, lines and backlight bleed
  • Every key, the TrackPoint and the touchpad
  • All USB, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort and Ethernet ports, and the SD card reader
  • Battery health and charging
  • SSD health and RAM
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, webcam, speakers and microphone
  • A clean Windows 11 Pro installation with up-to-date drivers

You are welcome to test the laptop yourself in our shop before you pay.

ThinkPad T460s or T480s: which should I buy?

Choose the T460s if you want the lowest price for office work and studies. The T480s costs a little more but has a quad-core 8th Gen processor, Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C charging, and official Windows 11 support, so it will feel faster and stay current longer.
