Intel Core Ultra 7 266V Performance

The Intel Core Ultra 7 266V is a Series 2 mobile processor designed for modern premium laptops where performance and efficiency are both important. It provides 8 cores and 8 threads, with four Performance-cores and four Low Power Efficient-cores. The processor runs at a 2.2GHz base frequency and can boost up to 5.0GHz. This makes the Surface Laptop well suited to demanding browser workloads, Microsoft Office, financial applications, presentations, business management systems, coding, meetings and everyday professional multitasking. Its efficient architecture is particularly valuable in a portable Surface device because it is designed to provide strong responsiveness while supporting long battery life.

Copilot+ PC With Dedicated AI Processing

The Core Ultra 7 266V includes an Intel AI Boost NPU rated at up to 48 TOPS. This dedicated neural processing hardware allows supported AI workloads to run locally without placing every task on the CPU or GPU. The Surface Laptop is part of Microsoft's Copilot+ PC platform, making it suitable for users who want a modern Windows machine prepared for AI-assisted productivity, Windows Studio Effects and other supported local AI experiences.

16GB LPDDR5x RAM And 512GB Gen 4 SSD

This configuration includes 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, which matches Microsoft's official Core Ultra 7 266V configuration. It provides comfortable capacity for professional multitasking, multiple browser tabs, office applications, meetings and business software. The 512GB Gen 4 SSD provides fast application loading and file access while offering practical capacity for business documents, presentations, media and installed software. Microsoft identifies the SSD as removable, which is useful from a serviceability perspective compared with laptops where storage is permanently integrated into the mainboard.

Intel Arc 140V Graphics

The Core Ultra 7 266V includes Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics with 8 Xe-cores and graphics frequency of up to approximately 2.0GHz. This graphics architecture provides substantially more capability than basic office integrated graphics and supports modern DirectX 12.2 features, hardware video acceleration and high-resolution external displays. It is suitable for productivity, high-resolution media, presentations, light creative applications and graphics-accelerated professional software where a dedicated gaming GPU is not required. This configuration should not be advertised as having a dedicated 8GB graphics card. Intel specifies Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics rather than a discrete GPU with 8GB dedicated VRAM.

15-Inch PixelSense Flow Touchscreen

The 15-inch PixelSense Flow display is one of the strongest features of the Surface Laptop. Its 2496 x 1664 resolution delivers a sharp 201 pixels per inch, while Microsoft's productivity-friendly 3:2 aspect ratio provides more vertical workspace than conventional 16:9 laptop screens. The panel supports 10-point multi-touch, allowing users to scroll, select, zoom and interact directly with compatible Windows applications. The display also provides a dynamic refresh rate up to 120Hz, which makes scrolling, animations and general navigation appear smoother while allowing the system to manage refresh rate according to workload.

600-Nit Display With Dolby Vision IQ

Microsoft rates the display at up to 600 nits typical SDR brightness and 600 nits HDR peak brightness. The screen supports sRGB and Vivid colour profiles, adaptive colour, automatic colour management and individual factory colour calibration. Dolby Vision IQ support adds compatibility with supported HDR content, while Corning Gorilla Glass 5 helps protect the touchscreen during everyday use. An anti-reflective display treatment helps reduce distracting reflections, making the laptop more comfortable for professional use in offices, meeting rooms and other well-lit environments.

1080p Camera For Meetings And Windows Hello

The Surface Laptop includes a 1080p Full HD Surface Studio Camera suitable for video calls, remote meetings and online collaboration. Windows Studio Effects can use the NPU for supported features such as automatic framing, eye contact and background effects. The camera also supports Windows Hello facial authentication, allowing compatible users to sign into Windows securely without entering a password each time.

Omnisonic Speakers And Dual Studio Microphones

For meetings and multimedia, Microsoft includes Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos together with Dual Studio Mics featuring voice-focus support. This integrated audio system is useful for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, presentations, streaming and other everyday communication without requiring external speakers for normal use.

Thunderbolt 4 And Modern Connectivity

The 15-inch Surface Laptop provides two USB-C ports with USB4 and Thunderbolt 4. These connections support charging, high-speed data transfer and DisplayPort 2.1 output, including support for up to two external 4K displays with compatible equipment. It also provides USB-A 3.1 Gen 2 for conventional peripherals, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Surface Connect and a MicroSDXC card reader on the 15-inch model. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, providing support for current-generation wireless networks and accessories.

Long Battery Life For Mobile Work

Microsoft rates the 15-inch model for up to 22 hours of local video playback and up to approximately 14 hours of active web usage under its test conditions. Actual battery life varies with brightness, software, network use and workload. The 15-inch model uses a 66Wh nominal battery and supports fast charging through Surface Connect or USB-C with a compatible power adapter.

Premium Aluminium Business Design

The Surface Laptop uses an aluminium enclosure with Microsoft's minimalist Surface design. The 15-inch model weighs approximately 1.66kg, balancing its larger display with reasonable portability for professional travel and commuting. A Surface Precision Haptic touchpad provides accurate navigation and configurable haptic feedback, while the keyboard includes a dedicated Copilot key for supported Windows AI functionality.
